In 1992, a musician made waves with his debut album “Nice and Warm” under the Justice Label, quickly gaining comparison to blues legends like Albert King and Albert Collins. As his popularity soared, he consistently played around two-hundred and fifty shows annually for over two decades. Transitioning to the Vanguard label, he solidified his status as Louisiana’s premier blues artist and, by 1999, released “These Blues Are All Mine.” His collaboration with Telarc International/Concord Music Group in 2002 marked an evolution in his music, culminating in the release of “Wetlands,” an album deeply inspired by Louisiana’s diverse musical heritage.
Post-2004, his commitment to environmental issues led to the foundation of the Voice of the Wetlands non-profit. This initiative saw him rallying fellow musicians to the cause, birthing The Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars, a group of renowned artists championing Louisiana’s coastal erosion issues. Recently, he introduced Whiskey Bayou Records with manager Rueben Williams, releasing works from notable artists and embarking on a significant U.S. Tour in 2019, known as the Whiskey Bayou Revue.
